Ajay Wasserman is a passionate entrepreneur, leader, and advocate for conscious capitalism. As the Group CEO and Chief Investment Officer of Fio Capital Group, he dedicates his efforts to empowering African entrepreneurs and driving sustainable economic growth.

 His entrepreneurial journey began at 17, launching his first business and sparking a lifelong passion for building ventures. Over the years, he honed his expertise in finance, investment, and risk management, becoming a qualified financial service provider registered with South Africa’s FSCA in 2012.

 In 2018, he founded Fio Capital, an investment holding company that champions innovation, job creation, and community transformation. Today, he leads a diversified portfolio across sectors vital to Africa’s development, including technology, healthcare, energy, agriculture, education, and real estate.
